5 Tips For Designing A Great Pull Up Banner

by Admin

Pull up banners are a fantastic way to capture the attention of your audience, making them an important resource for businesses of all sizes. From investing in powerful signage for your premises to drawing in visitors at a crowded tradeshow, they’re a great way for you to get noticed. It’s not enough to simply have a banner, however; you need to also ensure that your design is on point.

1. Get the Message Right

The first thing you need to do is develop a strong message. What is it that you want to communicate? What’s the goal of the banner? Remember that you only have 3 seconds to capture the attention of your audience before they move on, so try to be as concise as possible.

2.Focus on Visual Impact

Your banner needs to be visually appealing as well as visible from a distance. Place the most important information at eye level, as this is where people will look first, and always use high quality images. Choose high contrast colours that complement your brand.

3.Lead with your Logo

You should always place your company logo at the very top of the banner (usually a little above eye level so it won’t interfere with your message). Ensure that the logo is in high resolution, saved in CMYK and ready for print – you can’t simply save a copy off your website.

4.Consider its Location

Whilst you want your banner to look fantastic as a standalone item, it’s important to consider where it’s going to be used. Is text going to be blocked by stock? Is there a counter between your audience and the message? Think about its real world application.

5.Say Little to Say A Lot

People get excited when they think about large format printing, thinking that more space equals an opportunity to fit more in. The opposite is actually true – the most successful banners actually have very little on them, focusing instead on the most important aspects.
